FAQs
What does residential security cover?
Residential security is the complete protection of a private home, estate or residential street. It includes static officers at gates and entry points, mobile patrols across the surrounding area, keyholding and alarm response, CCTV monitoring from our Command and Control Centre and Quick Response Team cover for incidents. SQR Group’s residential operations can be deployed for a single property or scaled across a full estate or private road.
How much does residential security cost in London?
Residential security pricing depends on what the property actually needs. A weekly mobile patrol route sits at the lower end. A static officer at the gate 24 hours a day is at the higher end. Most SQR Group residential clients fall between the two, typically combining mobile patrols, keyholding and alarm response with occasional static cover for travel periods. We quote against the specific property and brief rather than publishing a rate card.
What is keyholding for a residential property?
Keyholding is where your home keys are stored securely with SQR Group so we can respond to any alarm, access requirement or emergency on your behalf, without you needing to be there. On an alarm activation, a Quick Response Team is dispatched from our Command and Control Centre, the property is checked, secured and reported back to you with photographs. For clients who travel, keyholding is often the single most important element of their residential cover.
Can residential security be arranged for a whole street or private estate?
Yes. SQR Group runs residential security operations across private estates, gated developments and residential streets where multiple households contribute to a shared security cost. The operation is designed collectively, patrols are routed to cover the whole area, and individual household requirements like keyholding, alarm response or additional cover can still be run on top. For estate security on a single contract, this model is more effective and more affordable than individual arrangements.
