FAQs
How often will mobile patrols visit my site?
Patrol frequency is set when the contract is designed. Most SQR Group mobile patrol clients receive multiple visits per night at randomised times, so the pattern cannot be predicted or avoided. For higher risk sites, patrols can be scheduled hourly or combined with static cover for peak periods. Every patrol is GPS tracked, timestamped and logged with a digital report that reaches the client the following morning.
What is keyholding and how does the response work?
Keyholding is a service where your keys are stored securely at our Command and Control Centre, so that when an alarm triggers, our Quick Response Team can attend and investigate without you needing to leave home. On a confirmed activation we check the premises, secure the property, liaise with police if required and send a report with photographs. Keyholding is included on most SQR Group mobile patrol contracts.
How quickly do your patrols respond to alarm activations?
Response time depends on your location and traffic, but SQR Group’s Quick Response Teams work from vehicles positioned across London, coordinated live by our Control Room, so the closest available unit is dispatched the moment an alarm triggers. For most London addresses that is a matter of minutes. We agree a target response time in the contract and report against it, rather than publishing one and leaving it unmeasured.
Do you provide mobile patrol services for residential streets as well as commercial sites?
Yes. SQR Group’s mobile patrol teams work across private estates, residential streets, commercial premises and construction sites. For residential clients, patrols are often combined with keyholding, alarm response and liaison with household staff. For commercial clients, the focus is typically perimeter inspection, access point checks and out of hours cover. The patrol brief is designed around the site, not standardised.
