Event security covers everything required to keep an event safe and running cleanly: guest list management, access control, crowd flow, perimeter protection, incident response and VIP escort. For larger events it also includes advance planning, emergency service liaison and live command on the night. SQR Group’s event teams run private parties, corporate functions, product launches and public events across London, scaled to the size and sensitivity of each occasion.
How much does event security cost in London?
Event security in London is priced on officer numbers, duration and the complexity of the deployment. A small private function may need two or three SIA licensed officers for a few hours. A large corporate event with VIP guests, access control and perimeter cover will need a planned team with a lead supervisor and Control Room oversight. SQR Group prices against the full event brief, including advance planning time, which is where most of the real work happens.
How far in advance should I book event security?
As early as possible. For set piece events like press nights, product launches and galas, several weeks of planning time is ideal because reconnaissance, risk assessment and officer briefings all take time to do properly. SQR Group has mobilised event security at short notice when circumstances required it, but the quality of the operation always improves with more preparation. The brief we would rather have on day one is the full event schedule.
Can you provide plain clothes event security?
Yes. Where a uniformed presence would not fit the tone of the event, SQR Group deploys plain clothes event officers and Close Protection Officers in attire that matches the venue. Guests see a professional environment rather than a security operation. Behind the scenes, every plain clothes officer is still SIA licensed, internally vetted and in live contact with the Control Room throughout the event.
